The transformation in eletronic text of Die Fragmente der Vorsokratiker of Hermann Diels and of I Presocratici of Gabriele Giannantoni started in 2001. The first electronic version consisted in an hypertext in html format , this version was tested by the editors with students of secondary school. The digitalization was obtained via a OCR scanning.
